Tutorial
This tutorial was very eye opening. It showed me how to do many different things regarding research projects or just plain research. What the tutorial brought to my attention was how to find books, articles, how to use data bases, how to form a topic, gather information, how to avoid plagiarism, and most importantly what can happen if you do plagiarize and much more. This was very informal and I felt it is needed for all college students to succeed. This tutorial showed videos which showed the reader how to do certain searches on the library website or just explaining certain programs. The videos would be perfect for visual learners because they could read a couple sentences about the tutorial and then watch a video on what they read and get a complete understanding of the reading. This is defiantly needed to know information especially for college students because most of the research and research projects are done during college. A lot of students are scared at first when their starting off on their own then having to do a research project without knowing anything about it. This tutorial guides students on their way, giving them a place to start and it could be used as a comfort blanket. This tutorial gives all different information needed for any type of research, walking the reader through step by step. It also tells about plagiarism and how many people do it, along with how you can get caught and the consequences. The quizzes were also helpful because they give you information on the text you just read or heard and test you on it. Overall I feel that this is a great way to let all students college or not be aware of how to find research and how to get started.

Advertising
I feel that all clean and clear products are a hit with all Americans. I personally have a lot of Clean and Clear products. I have their lotions, face washes, and even acne creams; Clean and Clear is all over the place. Clean and Clear is a good product and this particular product, Clean and Clear Advantage Kit is sold all over the world, because of the commercials. The commercials are so convincing because of the fact that they have statics stating that thousands of people have already bought their product. The commercials also have those same people who have so called "tried" the product talk about it and how it has helped their skin blossom into this beautifully clear baby's bottom type of skin. Also they compare their product to Proactiv by having the people interviewed say they used Proactiv and it didn't work as good as the Clean and Clear Advantage Kit worked. The people being interviewed even say that the next day after using the product they saw a difference and that their friends noticed too. In the commercial there is even a clinical study proving that this product works better and faster than Proactiv. They even give you the opportunity to get money off your purchase, why not buy the product? They have all the key components for advertising. Even the name Clean and Clear just sounds so right, especially their saying, "clean and clear and under control". I would buy this if I interested, all of these components on this commercial defiantly draws me in. I have provided you all with the website of the commercial I am talking about below this. Its just for you to see the commercial for yourself and to give me some feed back if you agree or not.

Observing
Today, while my roommates left the apartment I decided to observe. I went to the beach. When I arrived I unpacked all of my things, I took out my towel, some water, sun block, a pen and a piece of paper. I brought the pen and paper to write down what I saw as I saw it. I placed my towel close to the water but not too close to where all I could see was water. As I was settling in I could feel the sand between my toes and then the waves crashing over them rinsing all the sand away. The sand felt rough in between my toes but then when the water went over top of it, it made it feel heavy and cold. When I would I lie down I felt the sand hitting my legs, it felt like little baby hornets stinging me. When I sat up I saw people everywhere, walking around playing frizz be, volley ball or just tackling each other into the sand. I saw some people laying out, in the water, or just eating some cheetos. After I saw some people going into the water I thought it would be a fun idea for me to go. So as I was walking down to the water I could feel all the shells beneath me, some just sunk into the sand as I stepped on them, but others had pointy ends and stabbed me which made me jolt. When I finally got into the water, there was a deep hill going downward. I could smell and taste the ocean, it smelt and tasted like salt. The water was nice not too chilly but not too hot. As I got in I saw and felt sea weed all around me, it felt like jelly and very slimy. I lied on my back looking up at the sky. The sky was very blue with some white fluffy clouds that looked like pillows. All of a sudden I saw at least 3 seagulls coming from the sky looking for food. I immediately thought of the people who were eating cheetos and sure enough that’s where the seagulls went. They were swarming her and her friends begging for just a little bite of something. The seagulls ended up winning like they normally do. The woman and her friends just gave them the rest of her cheetos, which were only about 5 left. I got out of the water and lied down onto my towel. I wrapped all of my observations into one on my piece of paper, packed up and went home.

My life
Hi! My name is Jenna Lynn VanScoy. I was born in Westchester, New York and if your familiar with the area, then you might know a town called Verplanck. Verplanck is where I lived for 8 years until I moved to Stuart, Florida in August 2000.
At first I absolutely hated it, because I was leaving all of my friends, my school and basically my life. I thought from that point on life as I knew it was over and I was mad at my dad for making us move, actually my brother and my mother were pretty upset with the decision too. Elementary school was probably the hardest for me because I was so young and I cried pretty much every day at my school, missing my old life in New York. At the end of middle school my mom brother and I were all coming around to the idea of living here in Florida. I met more people and started to get used to the temperatures.
When I got into to high school, I fell in love with Florida, I loved the beach and all the new people, if I had the chance to move away it would’ve been an automatic no and still to this day I wouldn't move even if I had the opportunity to do so. During high school I just kept meeting new people and making lifelong friends. One day I met this guy, his name is Stephen Winchip, he ended up to be my boyfriend and who has been my boyfriend since my freshman year of high school and his sophomore year of high school, this relationship has been on and off for four years. Now that we have both moved to a higher level of education, we go to different colleges, he goes to Tallahassee Community College and I go here, Florida Gulf Coast University. We have been commuting back and forth to visit one another and everything works out perfectly.
When I was in high school, I took nursing courses since my freshman year, and doing so I have found a love and passion for this profession. I have earned my CNA (certified nursing assistant) through my high school. Now I am majoring in nursing. I wish to get the highest degree possible during my college education. After I get my degree, I want to become a registered nurse and specialize in the neonatal intensive care unit; taking care of premature babies.
