Tutorial

This tutorial was very eye opening. It showed me how to do many different things regarding research projects or just plain research. What the tutorial brought to my attention was how to find books, articles, how to use data bases, how to form a topic, gather information, how to avoid plagiarism, and most importantly what can happen if you do plagiarize and much more. This was very informal and I felt it is needed for all college students to succeed. This tutorial showed videos which showed the reader how to do certain searches on the library website or just explaining certain programs. The videos would be perfect for visual learners because they could read a couple sentences about the tutorial and then watch a video on what they read and get a complete understanding of the reading. This is defiantly needed to know information especially for college students because most of the research and research projects are done during college. A lot of students are scared at first when their starting off on their own then having to do a research project without knowing anything about it. This tutorial guides students on their way, giving them a place to start and it could be used as a comfort blanket. This tutorial gives all different information needed for any type of research, walking the reader through step by step. It also tells about plagiarism and how many people do it, along with how you can get caught and the consequences. The quizzes were also helpful because they give you information on the text you just read or heard and test you on it. Overall I feel that this is a great way to let all students college or not be aware of how to find research and how to get started.
